FAQ

Things people ask.

If your question isn't here, ask it when we speak. No question is too basic.

About the work itself

What actually happens in a session?

We start by talking through what's going on for you and what you'd like from the session. From there the work is shaped around that, moving between myofascial and deep tissue work, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, structural work and energy work as your body asks for it.

I've only ever had regular massage. Will this feel unfamiliar?

Some of it will be familiar and some quieter than you expect. Craniosacral work in particular uses very light contact and is done fully clothed. Many clients book what they think is a straightforward massage and meet the subtler work for the first time here.

Do I need to know which modality I want?

Not at all, and most people don't. Describe what's happening in your body and we'll find the right approach together in the session.

Can I bring an intention to the session?

Yes, and you're welcome to email it beforehand. Several clients do exactly that and say the session was built around it. If you'd rather arrive and see what surfaces, that works equally well.

About the work

How many sessions will I need?

That depends entirely on what you're working with. Some people come once for something specific, others come regularly as ongoing care. There's no package you need to commit to upfront.

Do you work with chronic pain?

Yes. Many clients come with long-standing tension or pain that hasn't shifted with other approaches. Myofascial and connective tissue work is often where that starts to move.

What should I expect afterwards?

Most people feel deeply settled, and many notice they sleep well that night. Give yourself a little space afterwards rather than rushing into something demanding.

Do you offer coaching as well as bodywork?

Yes. Holistic lifestyle education and transformational life coaching sit alongside the hands-on work, and those sessions can happen over phone or video.
