Custom inground swimming pools and spas, designed for free and built under the eye of the owner, for homes from Montgomery and Conroe across the Lake Conroe area.

Custom Inground Pools

New pool construction that starts with your backyard, not a brochure.

New pool construction is the core of what Sunlife Pools does. Owner William Steadham builds custom swimming pools for homeowners in Montgomery, Conroe, Magnolia and the surrounding towns, and no two of them are alike. Every customer is different, so every pool starts with a free design built around the shape of your lot, the view from the house, where the sun lands in the afternoon and how your family actually plans to use the water.

If you have been searching for inground pool installation near you and want one person accountable from the first sketch to the first swim, this is how Sunlife Pools works.

From 3D design to the finished pool.

Every customer is different, so Sunlife Pools designs for free. On the left is the 3D design for a lakefront project; on the right is that backyard after the build.

The Build, Step By Step

How a new pool comes together.

Every project is different, but most custom pool builds move through the same stages. Knowing them helps you plan your yard, your budget and your questions.

Design and estimate

An on-site visit to look at the lot, access for equipment, grade and drainage, followed by a free design consultation and a free on-site estimate for the scope you choose.

Approvals

Permits and, where you have one, HOA approval. Requirements differ from city to city and from one neighborhood to the next, so this is handled for your address.

Structure and systems

Layout, excavation, steel, plumbing and electrical, then the pool shell itself. This is the part you never see again, which is why it gets the most attention.

Finish and startup

Tile, coping, decking and the interior finish, then equipment startup and a walkthrough with the owner so you know how everything works.

Here is one of those builds, a freeform pool with a spa and swim-up bar, photographed stage by stage.

Your Choices

The decisions that shape your new pool.

Shape and Size

Built for how you swim

Lap swimming, a shallow lounging shelf for the kids, a deep end, a spa that spills into the pool: the layout follows the way you want to spend time in the water, then fits it to the yard.

Interior Finish

Plaster, pebble and more

The interior finish sets the color of the water and the feel underfoot. Sunlife Pools holds manufacturer certifications with Hydrazzo and StoneScapes, two finish lines you will likely see samples of.

Equipment

Pumps, filters, controls

The equipment pad is the heart of the pool. Manufacturer certifications with Hayward and Pentair mean the equipment you pick is installed by someone trained on it.

A new pool is often the start of a bigger backyard. Many owners pair the build with pool decks and outdoor living spaces, and if you already have an older pool you would rather save, pool remodeling and resurfacing may be the better fit. Where We Build

New pools across Montgomery County and beyond.

Home base is Montgomery, on the west side of Lake Conroe, and Conroe is the main city served. Lake-area lots, acreage out toward Dobbin and newer subdivisions in Magnolia and Spring all bring their own questions about access, soil and HOA rules, and those questions get answered at the site visit. The service area runs roughly 100 miles; see the full list of towns served or contact Sunlife Pools to ask about your address.
