Laura has been studying faux finishing for more than 20 years. It's Not Wallpaper started in 2002, working with designers, architects, contractors, and residential clients on custom plaster, glaze, paint, and stain finishes for walls, ceilings, cabinetry, countertops, and tile.
Laura also hand-designs custom stencils cut to match your personal style, and works with low-VOC and green products whenever possible.
Today the studio is based in Wauwatosa, WI, serving Wauwatosa, West Allis, Milwaukee and the surrounding area.
Every finish starts with a conversation about your space, not a catalog pattern.
You see the plaster, glaze, or paint technique on a sample board before it goes on your wall.
Floors and furniture are protected, and the area is cleaned up when the job is done.
Laura works your project personally, from the first sketch to the final coat.
